Units of capacity?

I thought the capacity of a container would always be measured in litres or some other unit of volume, such as cubic feet or cubic centimetres.

So here’s a little puzzle for you. I have just discovered a container whose capacity is apparently measured in kilograms. If you have been reading my two previous blogs, you will guess where I discovered this. But what precisely is this container? Any ideas?
