Minimum or maximum temperature?

The woman running the food hygiene course that my wife, Christina, attended last week said that food in the freezer should be kept at a minimum temperature of minus eighteen degrees. Christina pointed out that this should be a maximum of minus eighteen degrees. But the instructor just could not get this!

Why is this so difficult to understand?

  1. Hi
I am commenting as a trainee teacher and am just writing my maths essay. I have your book, Understanding Mathematics for Young Children, and have been working alongside teachers in a primary school for the last 7 yrs. I have seen a vast array of mathemaical knowledge and styles of teaching but very little of what the likes of yourself and Richard Dunn stress of what is needed; exciting, relevant and hands on stuff is what our little number learners need! Excellent work, books and blog! I'll be checking in for the length my career as im passionate about education which doesn't damage young enquiring minds forever!
